UM Pastor Highlighted In CBS Euthanasia Special

CBS TV special focuses on 'end of life' issues

NEW YORK (United Methodist News Service)—An interfaith religion television special on CBS, "Time to Say Goodbye," will explore end-of-life issues with three patients of Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota, Fla., an organization that serves four counties and hundreds of terminally ill patients ranging from children to the elderly. The April 18 broadcast examines how quality of life at the end of life affects the patients and their families and friends. The Rev. Robert Green, pastor of Oneco United Methodist Church in Gilmore, Fla., is one of the people featured in the telecast. Check local stations for the broadcast time.

Simplify end-of-life care to provide more comfort care to the dying elderly, rather than aggressive hospital care that consumes tremendous resources in the last days of life. Maximize home care via hospice. Source UM Commentary
